Comparing high speed internet providers can be a difficult task if you can’t set them up side by side.  It is important to determine who your local providers are and how the services they offer compare.  Check for speed, and cost, as well as dependability.  In some rural areas, your only choice may be satellite internet.  Even that is high speed now.  There is no reason to be depending on dial up any more.  Most people enjoy sharing videos, sending pictures back and forth, social networking, secure functions like online banking, and more.  For this, you need more than the basic speed.  Don’t short change yourself for budgetary reasons, since even ultra high speed is not much more expensive than the basic package.
