I’m really lucky to have choices among the high speed internet providers in my area. I checked out the major internet companies, Verizon and AT&T, and was pleased to find that FiOS is in my area.  I was able to compare with the local cable company, and local internet companies as well.  Since speed is of utmost importance to me, I chose FiOS because it is in a class by itself for speed.  If it were not available, I probably would have chosen the local cable company based on speed, and value of bundled services.  Comparing side by side really helps, once you can learn which providers offer certain plans in your area.
