Verizon to Increase 4G Service in Rural Areas

May 16th, 2010 by JanetM

Verizon announced last week that they are stepping up their commitment to increase access to the internet.  They are making 4G mobile broadband service available in rural areas throughout the United States.  If you live in a rural area and have suffered through bad cell phone connections and poor dial up service, you know how welcome this development is.  4G service will enable recipients to get email, browse the web, watch videos, download music, and have phone conversations and text messages.  This is just another way that the world is becoming more connected, and for people in remote areas, the opportunity to connect is welcome.
