When you compare internet providers online, it makes your choice somewhat easier.  You’ll want to have a clear idea of the speed and type of service you are looking for, as well as cost and availability.  It is fairly easy to determine what internet service providers are in your area, by entering your zip code on the provider’s web site.  Once you’ve determined what is available to you, then it’s fairly straightforward to compare cost, service, and speed.

You’ll want to look at the major internet providers, like AT&T and Verizon, to see how they compare to your local provider.  You can also find some great deals from Comcast, Qwest, and others.  See if you would benefit from bundled services with telephone and digital television.  This is often the way to get the highest quality service for the lowest price.  Yearly contracts may apply.  Also look to see if there are any rebates, or special offers for free installation or equipment.
