I’m really lucky to have choices among the high speed internet providers in my area. I checked out the major internet companies, Verizon and AT&T, and was pleased to find that FiOS is in my area. I was able to compare with the local cable company, and local internet companies as well. Since speed is of utmost importance to me, I chose FiOS because it is in a class by itself for speed. If it were not available, I probably would have chosen the local cable company based on speed, and value of bundled services. Comparing side by side really helps, once you can learn which providers offer certain plans in your area.

The search for high speed internet providers in my area turned out to not be too difficult. I went online to do some comparisons. Looking at the different service providers side by side really helps, since I know what speed I want, and I can see the costs and incentives. I looked at the major internet service provider websites to see if they were in my area, and found I was in luck, because one is an ultra high speed provider. I was able to compare their bundled services with the local cable provider, and also with some other local companies. For me, the ultra high speed bundle was the best for cost and speed.

I was searching for high speed internet providers in my area, and found that the best place to look was online, in blogs and on websites that offer comparisons. First I found independent websites that compared providers side by side. I looked at the the larger companies AT&T and Verizon first, to see what was available so I had something to compare it to. Then I looked up the local cable company, and other local providers. I compared for speed, and also for cost. There are many enticements to sign up, such as rebates, free modems, free installation. Be sure to compare all of these in determining the true cost, and make sure that you are getting the speed that you want.

When looking for “high speed internet providers in my area“, you need to check on the websites of major companies to see if their service reaches you. Both AT&T and Verizon have multiple choices, and they may not all reach you. Once you’ve determined what is available there, check out the local cable internet companies, and finally, the local internet providers, and satellite internet companies. All of these offer an alternative to dial up, at a very desirable cost. Check and see if bundling internet with phone and television will save you even more money. And don’t forget to add up all the costs of rebates and add ons. Will you have to pay an activation fee, or buy a modem? Add all the costs together to see what is right for you.
