I looked up internet providers in my area using the web, because I wanted to compare all the available plans. I went online, and looked up the plans for the major providers, AT&T and Verizon, and then compared them to cable and other providers.  It was great to find an independent site that compared everything they offer along with all other providers, so I could see it side by side.  I like to check things out for speed since that is important to me.  I could see the costs, and all the incentives too.  This told me what I am getting and what I am paying for.  I like that!

When looking for internet providers, it helps to know who provides service in your area.  If you don’t know the answer to who the internet providers in my area are, then you need to look online.  Check out the nationally known providers, AT&T and Verizon, and see what they offer in your area.  Then, compare them to local cable companies, and local internet providers.  Compare price, speed, and dependability.  You’ll find that speed is probably the most important consideration, since internet use can depend a lot on the speed you have.  You’ll find that the cheapest, slowest speeds really area not adequate for you to enjoy videos and music downloads without some interference.  Comparing value will get you the speed you need at a price you can afford.
