Mark The Date For Release Of Windows 8 Preview

April 24th, 2012 by ElizaP

Windows Division president Steven Sinofsky announced today that the Windows 8 Release preview will be available in the first week of June. The announcement was made at a Windows 8 developer event in Japan, and confirms rumors of the June release date. The company chose not to release a beta or release candidate of software in development this time around. Surprisingly, there are a few tutorials available online already for those who wish to get a handle on some of the operating system’s new features, which include a Start screen and a charms bar, which is where functions like settings, share and devices are located. Those using a touch screen system to use the new OS need only swipe to the right to reveal the charms, swipe from top or bottom to reach the application bar, or swipe left to move between tasks.
